Advanced Dental Technology Ponte Vedra Beach

Advanced Tools for a Cutting-Edge Level of Dentistry

We know just how impactful technology can be when it comes to providing high-quality dental care. The instruments, devices, and techniques that we use here are second to none, and they allow Dr. Perry, Dr. De Bonis, and our team to treat a very wide range of issues and ensure optimal oral health in all kinds of different ways.

Digital Impressions

In the past, the process for taking dental impressions was far from easy or comfortable – it involved gooey, foul-tasting impression materials, time and tactile effort, and carried a higher-than-desirable margin for error. We’re happy to utilize digital impressions here in our dental office; this allows us to create 3D scans of your teeth and gums, which we can then use to create virtual models for treatment planning. Needless to say, this is faster, easier, and more comfortable than the traditional process.

CBCT Cone Beam Scanner for 3D Imaging

Our CBCT Cone Beam Scanner for 3D Imaging is one of the most important pieces of equipment here in our Ponte Vedra Beach office, and it sees quite a lot of use! This machine has an extendable arm that can rotate a full 360 degrees around your head, allowing it to accurately scan and create a digital mockup of your mouth’s anatomy. This can be used to identify hidden problems and plan out virtually all types of treatment. It allows us to see the inside of the mouth in unmatched detail.

Soft Tissue Laser

Our soft tissue laser can precisely treat a wide range of issues affecting the gums while minimizing bleeding, swelling, and other common post-op symptoms. The laser can even encourage the growth of healthy, new tissue in the affected area. All in all, this means that not only will you receive the necessary care your smile needs to flourish, but you’ll also be able to enjoy a much smoother recovery period.

Intraoral Camera

One of the greatest advantages of having an intraoral camera is that it allows us to look very closely at every part of your smile. This small, rod-shaped device has a digital camera on one end that’s connected to a nearby monitor, so you’ll get to see everything that we’re seeing. Having such a thorough view of your smile aids us when it comes to identifying and diagnosing problems and coming up with treatment plans.

3D Printing

We use our 3D printer every single day in our practice. With it, we can fabricate our own oral appliances, temporary dentures, surgical guides, and more in-house, meaning you don’t have to wait on an outside lab. This saves you time in the chair, cuts down on visits, and gives our team as much control as possible when it comes to your treatment, leading to better outcomes.
